ATADEL DATA DELETION POLICY

OVERVIEW

At Atadel, we are committed to protecting the privacy of both our drivers (independent contractors) and users (customers). This Data Deletion Policy explains the procedures for deleting accounts and associated data, outlining what information will be removed, what may be retained, and how you can initiate a deletion request.

1. How to Delete Your Account:

Both drivers and users can delete their Atadel accounts through the app, following these steps:

For Drivers (Independent Contractors):

  • Go to the Settings section in the Atadel Driver App.
  • Select Delete Account and follow the prompts to confirm your decision.

For Users (Customers):

  • Go to the Settings section in any of the modules in the Atadel Super App.
  • Select Delete Account and follow the instructions to confirm account deletion.

2. What Happens When You Delete Your Account:

Upon confirming your account deletion, the following information will be permanently removed from Atadel’s systems, based on your role:

For Drivers (Independent Contractors):

  • Personal Information: This includes your name, email, phone number, profile picture, and any other identifiable information you’ve provided.
  • Driving Records: This includes trip history, earnings, and ratings.
  • Payment Information: Any bank account details and payment transactions associated with your driver account.
  • Documents: All documents you’ve uploaded, including driver’s license, vehicle registration, insurance, and other required paperwork.
  • App Usage Data: Logs and interactions with the app, including preferences, notifications, and communications related to your role as a driver.

For Users (Customers):

  • Personal Information: Your name, email, phone number, delivery addresses, and any other identifiable information.
  • Order History: All records of past orders, including food, grocery, rideshare, and package delivery transactions.
  • Payment Information: Credit/debit card details and transaction history associated with your orders.
  • App Usage Data: Activity logs, preferences, communication with drivers, merchants, or Atadel support.

3. Data Retention After Deletion Request:

Some data may need to be retained by Atadel for a limited period to comply with legal, regulatory, or business requirements. The data retained will be the minimum necessary to meet these obligations and may include the following:

  • Legal and Regulatory Compliance: Any information required to comply with local tax laws, business regulations, or other legal obligations. This could include records of completed orders, payments, and other transactions.
  • Dispute Resolution: Data necessary to resolve disputes, prevent fraud, or address issues related to our Terms of Service or policies may be retained until such matters are resolved.

4. Refunds and Wallet Balances:

If you have an outstanding balance or wallet credits in your Atadel account:

  • For Drivers (Independent Contractors): Any unpaid earnings will be processed and transferred according to Atadel’s payment schedule before final deletion.
  • For Users (Customers): Any outstanding wallet credits or refunds will be processed according to Atadel’s refund policy. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method unless otherwise requested.

5. Irreversible Process:

Deleting your account is permanent. Once your account has been deleted:

  • You will no longer be able to access your account, and all personal data associated with it will be permanently erased (subject to the legal and retention requirements outlined above).
  • You will need to create a new account if you wish to use Atadel services in the future.

6. Confirmation of Account Deletion:

You will receive an email confirming the deletion of your account and associated data. The deletion process may take up to 7-10 business days to complete.

7. Special Considerations for Inactive Accounts:

If your account has been inactive for an extended period, Atadel may, at its discretion, deactivate or delete your account. You will be notified before any such action, with an option to reactivate the account or download your data.
